Gnocchi Bolognese

Gnocchi is one of my favorite pastas, especially fresh gnocchi. Nothing beats fresh it and for this recipe I even got to try out my new kitchen tool to form the cool ridges you see on the pasta in restaurants!

B.L.E.A.T. Sandwich

The BLEAT Sandwich takes the BLT to a whole other level. Have you ever heard of it? Better yet have you ever had one? If not, stop what you're doing right now and go make one. Seriously. This sandwich is the king of BLT's. So what is a BLEAT exactly? It is a bacon, lettuce, egg, avocado and tomato sandwich, yea that's right. It's just perfect and will blow your mind.

For my BLEAT sandwich I used thick slices of Texas Toast bread from Trader Joe's, I slathered on a little bit of mayo and then some lettuce, tomato and avocado slices. I fried up an over easy egg and topped off the entire sandwich with some crispy turkey bacon (feel free to sub in regular bacon!).

I love hearing new variations on sandwiches, especially classic ones like the BLT. Please feel free to let me know what kind of sandwich variations you love or have even created, I may even post about it here!

Chili Lettuce Wraps

I make every attempt to eat healthy and make good choices as far as food. I always feel better when the food I eat veggies, fruits and just healthy in general. That is not to say that I don't indulge now and then (and maybe even a little more than that) because I do. I love my sweets and I will not give them up, nor will I give up pasta or bread. The best way for me to not give up my favorite treats is to eat balanced the rest of the time.

This particular meal is one of my favorite healthy go to dinners. It's a quick dinner to make and usually I have all of the ingredients on hand, I also like to replace sour cream with plain Greek yogurt, it's a really tasty way to cut out extra calories. Lettuce wraps have become somewhat of a trend these days, lots of restaurants have them because they are being offered as a heart healthy option. This recipe is also fun because you can make a dinner party out of it, arranging the lettuce leaves on a platter and allow your guests to fill them up any way they'd like. It's also a great recipe that can be personalized to the way you like it, changing out the protein or even the toppings. Have fun with it, that's what cooking is all about.

Crispino Pizza

The Crispino Pizza is one of my favorites. It has everything I love on it and is a fun pizza to make because you can make little changes to personalize to suit your own taste and there are dozens of ways to change this pizza up. I have seen it made with eggplant, peppers, tomatoes and even with a variety of cheeses, the recipe I'm giving you here is my favorite version of the Crispino.

I was introduced to this pizza by my a friend who told me about this pizzeria that makes a Crispino. It was a bit of a hike from where I lived but my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) decided to make the trip and try it out. It was worth every minute of the trip. It was a square pizza with a little sauce, layered with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, strips of roasted red peppers and some fresh basil on top. It was heavenly and now I am sharing it with all of you in the hopes that you love it as much as I do.

Also don't forget this is giveaway day number two! Same rules apply; leave a comment here telling me your favorite pizza, like Per L'Amore Di Cibo on Facebook or subscribe via email. Do one or and all three!
