It's that time again!
The spring has sprung full speed ahead and just around the mid month mark this month a large brown box appeared at my front door bearing gifts from Kai of The Ocean on Her Shoulders and what a foodie package it was! Kai took my love for chocolate seriously and gave me an awesome variety of chocolate bars.
But before I get too far ahead of myself let me back up quickly and give a quick run down of what Foodie Pen Pals is all about. The rules are pretty simple, you sign up here at Lindsay's blog, The Lean Green Bean. Once you get your match for the month you email them and find out a little about them and their preferences. Then you put together an awesome package for $15 and send it to them. Staying true to the pen pal concept it is required of you to include a handwritten note inside saying anything you'd like and that's it!
So back to Kai's package for me. I got a whole bunch of chocolate bars as I've previously mentioned, but not just any chocolate bars. We're talking chocolate with orange peel, crystallized ginger, peppermint and even some good old milk chocolate.
Next up was some licorice from whole foods in both the original and raspberry flavors. Yum!
My husband was super excited about the BBQ sauce we found inside Kai's package. Rumor has it the company that makes it is pretty darn big in Texas so we should feel pretty privy to scoring a bottle! I can't wait to try it!
The last find in the package was some kava tea which I'm told is very good for dealing with stress. I do admit it makes me wonder if I somehow come across to my readers as stressed and that I'm in need a de-stressing tea.
I'm only kidding! Who doesn't need some stress release now and then!?
And that's a wrap for May's foodie pen pals! Thanks again to Lindsay for setting this up and for yet another successful month and don't forget to join in whether you're a reader or blogger!

My goodness you got some great stuff in yours. Love it. I was told to do meditation to chill out. I have to admit to staring blankly at the doc. Oddly it helps. I get less road rage. Who knew! Lol.
Nice package that you received via Foodie Penpals...this was my first month to take part. I live about 2 hours from Salt Lick, so I can vouch that their sauce...especially the spicy variety...is really wonderful on BBQ!!
