Bacon & Cream Cheese Crescent Wraps

These little bite sized appetizers are really famous around my household. They are super easy to make and will easily become the hit of any party! I can't even begin to tell you how often these are requested when Joe and I go to or host parties. Trust me on this one, make them and you will forever be hooked. Or don't, but then you will be missing out on something that is really just soooooo good.

There are only three ingredients for these, four if you count my secret ingredient but still as I sit here typing this I can't find any reason why you shouldn't at least try to make these! They're no fail and as I sit here munching on one I just keep thinking about how good they are!

Now here's a couple of notes on the recipe before I jump into the directions. I make these with turkey bacon, mostly because I prefer turkey bacon over regular bacon (I know, shocker!) but they can be made with regular bacon. Just make sure you buy one this isn't overly fatty because they will get a little gummy. If you want to use regular bacon cook them just a touch so they aren't completely raw because the cooking times for the crescents don't match up for the amount of the time needed to fully cook bacon. If you use turkey bacon do not cook it, they will come out perfect with no pre-cooking needed.

My next and last tip is this: WAIT UNTIL THEY HAVE COOLED A LITTLE!

I know how difficult this can be and how good they will smell coming out of the oven, but my brother in law can attest how crucial this tip is on a firsthand basis. The cream cheese in the center will be so incredibly hot straight out of the oven so please give them a couple of minutes to cool down before you scald your mouth. That's my PSA, so please carry on to the recipe.

Bacon & Cream Cheese Crescent Wraps
Yield: 16 crescents
Assembly Time: 15 minutes     I     Bake Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 package crescent rolls
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 package turkey bacon
  • Scallions, finely diced
Separate all of the crescent rolls and flatten them slightly. Cut each of the crescents in half and place a small spoonful of cream cheese into the center of each of them (approximately a teaspoon). Sprinkle some scallions on top and them seal the wraps as though you were rolling a pig in the blanket. Just be sure to seal all of the edges completely.

Next cut 8 slices of turkey bacon length wise and wrap them around the sealed crescent wraps. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until they are nice and golden.

I don't know that I'd be able to wait a few minutes either, but I'll do my best. They look delicious!
